Psychoeducational assessments are designed to explore how a person thinks, processes information, and learns. They are commonly requested when individuals experience academic or workplace struggles such as difficulty focusing, retaining information, completing tasks on time, or organizing thoughts and ideas.

These assessments are especially helpful for:

  • Students (teen or adult) struggling in school or post-secondary
  • Adults who suspect a learning difference that was never identified
  • Individuals pursuing accommodations for exams, post-secondary, or employment

What's involved:

 

  • Clinical interview to explore learning history and challenges
  • Standardized cognitive testing (e.g., memory, reasoning, processing speed)
  • Academic testing in reading, writing, math Screening for attention, mental health, and executive functioning as relevant
  • Feedback session and detailed written report with recommendations
